Validation of antennas for CTIA (Cellular Telecommunications & Internet Association) measurements
Sophisticated omnidirectional antennas are used for the validation of CTIA test sites. These require that the nonuniformity in one great circle cut is less than +/- 0.1 dB. The pattern measurement technique to verify this performance needs a measurement error of +/-0.01 dB at the most!

New CISPR standard
New CISPR standards for radiated emission measurements above 1 GHz and validation techniques for test sites are currently being developed. We are contributing procedures for the validation of test sites using a new approach: omnidirectional antennas for frequencies above 1 GHz. The specification and construction of such antennas is a challenge for our research team.
