The focus of the SECTINO project, a co-operation with the University of Innsbruck’s research group "Quality Engineering", is the systematic development and the subsequent realisation of security-critical, system-wide workflows on the basis of web services. This especially concerns the investigation of security requirements on a technical level, the development of a component-based security architecture, as well as the systematic conversion of security-critical business processes on the basis of this reference architecture.
With the SECTINO project a framework is created, which makes it possible to systematically and efficiently convert innovative workflows e.g. in e-Government with a special focus on security aspects.
The highest objective in technical terms is the generation of executable, machine-readable software artefacts for the configuration and extension of security components, derived from abstract requirements.
The SECTINO project will supply the following results:
- A method for the systematic design of security-critical, system-wide workflows using object-oriented modelling techniques
- A reference architecture for the systematic realisation of these workflows
- A prototype generator of artefacts for the configuration of security components on the basis of security requirements
Work is currently underway on prototype implementation.
