Optical Postage Stamp Inspection

The shown application presents a fully automated quality inspection due to the production of postage stamps. The system aquires the stamps with high definition cameras and checks them for stamp-collectors quality. Incorrect prints are seperated out automatically – the machine learns to see through human eyes. View Video

Coin Counting and Sorting Machine

In 2003, operation of the system for optical coin identification and coin sorting (called ‘Dagobert’) was started to support the Austrian charity campaign „Licht ins Dunkel“. The single coins are handled by high performance image processing in combination with attached mechanics. This system is able to recognise over 1,000 different images of coins. View Video
